Apostille services
An apostille is an official certificate issued by the UK Government which is added to UK documents so they will be legally accepted and recognised in Spain and vice versa.
Please note that not ALL documents can be used cross border such as Powers of Attorney which must be arranged individually within each country.
Once a document (which is able to be used in the other country) has an Apostille certificate attached to it confirming the authenticity of the signatures and seals it will need to be translated into Spanish or English and then can be used in Spain or the UK, however it is always worth checking with whomever you are dealing with in Spain in advance that they will accept a document with an Apostille attached.
If a client based in Spain wishes to get a UK document (such as a birth, death or marriage certificate) certified with an Apostille we handle the whole process of couriering the document to and liaising with the UK legalisation office and then translating the document so it is ready to be used in Spain.
If a client is based in Spain and needs a Spanish document to be certified for use within the UK then we can do this also.
If a client lives in the UK and needs to get a UK document certified with an Apostille for use in Spain and does not wish to or cannot travel to Spain then we can get this organised within the UK and ensure the document is available and ready for use in Spain accordingly.
