Notaries

Please note that if you use your own notary you MUST:

  1. Ensure that the notary you choose speaks sufficiently good English to read the English side of your document and is subsequently then able to comply with their obligation to ensure that they are satisfied that you also understand it.

  2. Confirm their charges before you engage them  - these should be around 40€ per Will and 115€ per Power of Attorney

  3. When you have chosen your notary you must then send them the electronic version of your documents that we send you well in advance of your appointment with them - this is called ''minuta notaarial''

  4. Please be aware that we cannot get involved in or resolve any issues/complications created by using your own notary and not one of our listed recommended English-speaking notaries below.

We can arrange appointments on your behalf with notaries in the following areas but please note the following first:

The services provided to you by any notary that we have arranged an appointment with on your behalf are not any part of the services that we ourselves provide to you and, as such, no claim or complaint can be brought against us for anything pertaining to the services provided/or not provided by the notary involved in your case or the failure of a notary that we have attempted to make an appointment with on your behalf to make such an appointment.
