If Inheritance tax is abolished – charities will lose £millions every year

This is because all gifts to charities in a Will are exempt from inheritance tax.

But more importantly, every one that donates 10% or more of their estate to charity gets a reduction on the applicable inheritance tax on the rest of their estate from 40% to 36%

This can be a HUGE incentive to give 10% of an estate to charity in a Will and this incentive will disappear if inheritance tax is abolished and this valuable incentive for charities is not in some way protected.
